This surge is attributed to initiatives like the National Biopharma Mission, which has fostered innovation in areas such as DNA vaccines and biosimilars. The sector is projected to reach $300 billion by 2030, positioning India as a leader in global biomanufacturing .
Dr. Singh also pointed to the establishment of the National Research Foundation (NRF), which aims to bolster research and innovation across various sectors. With substantial funding and a focus on public-private collaboration, the NRF is expected to play a crucial role in advancing India’s technological capabilities and economic development .
