NEW DELHI: A three-day G20 Meeting focused on financial inclusion has begun in Mumbai. The event, known as the fourth G20 Global Partnership for Financial Inclusion (GPFI), brings together over 50 delegates from G20 member countries, special invitee countries, and international organisations.
Discussions during the meeting will centre on the ongoing work related to the financial inclusion agenda under the G20 India Presidency, with a particular focus on digital financial inclusion and SME finance. Additionally, symposiums on digital public infrastructure for empowering MSMEs and advancing financial inclusion through digital and financial literacy and consumer protection are scheduled as part of the event.
Mumbai is hosting a three-day G20 meeting on financial inclusion, known as the fourth G20 Global Partnership for Financial Inclusion (GPFI).
The meeting has gathered more than 50 delegates representing G20 member countries, special invitee countries, and international organisations.

The discussions during the meeting will revolve around the ongoing financial inclusion agenda under the G20 India Presidency. Two key areas of focus are digital financial inclusion and SME (Small and Medium-sized Enterprises) finance.
As part of the event, two symposiums are planned. The first is centred on digital public infrastructure for energising MSMEs and will take place on September 14. The second symposium, titled “Advancing Financial Inclusion through Digital Public Infrastructure: Empowering Consumers through Digital and Financial Literacy and Consumer Protection,” is scheduled for September 16.
