Council of Ministers meets tomorrow, first time during Op Sindoor, post Pahalgam attack

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to chair a meeting of the Union Council of Ministers tomorrow, Wednesday, June 4, 2025. This will be the first such meeting following the conclusion of Operation Sindoor, India’s military response to the deadly terrorist attack in Pahalgam on April 22, 2025. The Pahalgam attack, one of the deadliest in recent years, resulted in the deaths of 26 individuals, including 25 tourists and a local pony ride operator. The attackers, believed to be affiliated with the Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba, targeted non-Muslim tourists, singling them out before opening fire .

In response, India launched Operation Sindoor, a significant military operation aimed at dismantling terrorist networks.
