Three men were found dead under suspicious circumstances in a guest house in the Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir. The deceased were identified as Mukesh Kumar, Ashutosh, and Sunny Choudhary, all residents of Jammu.
A charcoal heater found in their room has led investigators to suspect that the trio may have died due to asphyxiation. According to the police, the incident came to light when a man reported that his brother, who had traveled to Bhaderwah, was unresponsive to his calls. Using the brother’s mobile phone location, the police tracked it late Wednesday night and sent a team to investigate.
The team located the vehicle belonging to the complainant’s brother and learned that the men had booked a room at the Royal Inn guest house in Bhaderwah. When repeated knocking on the door went unanswered, the police forced it open and discovered the three men unconscious inside.
Doctors and forensic experts were called to the scene, and upon arrival, they confirmed that all three men were deceased. While the exact cause of death remains under investigation, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Doda, Sandeep Mehta, stated that preliminary findings point to asphyxiation as the likely cause.
