Highlighting the anti-terror measures, the spokesperson detailed that the busted modules spanned the Jammu zone, including one each in Rajouri and Reasi, two in Poonch and Kathua, three in Udhampur, and four in Doda. The neutralization of these militants has dealt a significant blow to efforts aimed at destabilizing the region.

Additionally, 180 individuals were detained under the Public Safety Act (PSA), exceeding the 168 detainees in 2023.

Efforts to curb drug trafficking were also intensified, with 476 NDPS cases registered in 2024. Notable seizures included 9.99 kg of heroin from the Line of Control (LOC) area in the Nowshera Sector in April and 33.058 kg from the Jammu bus stand area in August. Addressing the growing menace of drug abuse, a state-of-the-art Drug De-addiction Centre was inaugurated in Jammu. This facility offers detoxification, counseling, skill development, and reintegration programs led by trained medical professionals and counselors to aid recovery.

On the cybercrime front, 67 police personnel underwent specialized training in handling cyber offenses, and 10 fully operational Cyber Cells were established across all districts of the Jammu Zone. These measures resulted in the successful resolution of cybercrime cases amounting to ₹4.75 crore.

These progressive initiatives, supported by intensified surveillance, strategic operations, and community engagement, underscore the authorities’ commitment to maintaining law and order and ensuring the safety of the region’s residents.
