DODA: Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) on Saturday solved the Theft Case and recovered stolen governmant property within days from Assar area of district Doda.
As per the police handout, based on a complaint regarding theft of Crash barriers from Ragginallah, Marsoo area of Assar on NHW-244, an FIR No. 10/2023 under the relevant section was registered at Police Station (PS) Assar.
Accordingly, after the registration of the case Police swung into action and a Police team of PS Assar led by PSI Satnam Singh started investigation.

Police activated its sources to get lead to reach the thieves. During the course of investigation, one suspect namely Nayamtullah alias Mudassar son of Bashir Ahmed resident of Gurmul Kastigarh, At Present – Bagerni Doda was rounded up.
During questioning the suspect admitted his involvement in the theft of govt property and on his disclosure the stolen crash barriers were recovered which he along with his associate after committing theft, had hidden in Marsoo area of Assar.
The vehicle (Jonga) bearing Regd No. JK06-8606 used by them for lifting the stolen crash barriers and a bunch of wrenches used for opening Nut/bolts of crash barriers have also been seized by Police.
Police said, “His other associate is absconding and more recoveries are expected from them. Investigation of the case is going on.”
