Amit Shah to Visit Jammu for Security Review Amid Rising Infiltration ConcernsShah to visit Jammu for security review

Union Home Minister Amit Shah is set to visit Jammu next week to review the security situation following reports of increased infiltration by Pakistan-trained terrorists and a recent encounter in which four policemen and two militants were killed by security forces.

The visit, expected by April 6, will include high-level discussions with senior officials from the Jammu and Kashmir Police, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), and Border Security Force (BSF). The primary focus will be on countering the rising infiltration threats and addressing terror movements in the hinterland.

Shah is also likely to meet the families of the four policemen who lost their lives in the Kathua encounter last Thursday. According to police sources, a high-level security review meeting will be convened during his visit, given the heightened concerns about terrorist activity, particularly in the Kathua region.

Additionally, the Home Minister is expected to visit forward areas along the International Border (IB) in the Jammu division to assess security preparedness and review measures to prevent cross-border infiltrations.

His visit underscores the government’s commitment to strengthening security in Jammu and Kashmir and ensuring the safety of the region against emerging threats.
