Two Indian Army personnel, including an officer, were killed in a suspected Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast near the Line of Control (LoC) in the Akhnoor sector of Jammu on February 11, 2025. The explosion occurred while the soldiers were patrolling the forward area near the border fence. One more soldier sustained injuries and is currently undergoing treatment.
The Indian Army’s White Knight Corps confirmed the incident, stating that search operations are underway to secure the area. This marks the latest in a series of cross-border incidents in the Jammu region, raising concerns over increasing threats along the LoC.
Security forces have intensified patrols, and top Army officials are reviewing the situation. The nation mourns the loss of its brave soldiers and stands in solidarity with their families.
