RAMBAN: Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) on Saturday busted a Norco Terror module and recovered about 30 Kilograms of Cocaine from a vehicle at Railway Chowk Banihal, Ramban on Saturday.
As per the Police, on 30 September 2023 at about 2235 Hours, Police led by SSP Ramban Mohita and her team intercepted one Innova vehicle at Railway Chowk Banihal bearing No HR2W/4925 coming from Kashmir towards Jammu and recovered about 30 Kilograms of Cocaine, having approximate value of 300 crores in international black market and apprehended two persons.
Case FIR No. 242/2023 u/s 8/21/22/29 NDPS Act stands registered at P/S Banihal and investigation set into motion.

This operation was developed on intelligence generated by SSP Ramban and her team who have been continuously waging war against drug smugglers and peddlers. A large number of notorious peddlers and smugglers have already been booked by the team of Police in Ramban.
Official Release said that total 104 cases have been registered in 2022, and 36 in 2023 till date in which 2500 Kilograms of poppy straw, 30 Kilogram Caine, 10 Kilogram Charas, 200 Grams of Heroin and 200 Tablets were recovered, and 158 accused have been arrested and 3 detained under PIT NDPS.
