UKSPF appeals politicians of valley to raise voice for reservation to Sikh community

SINAGAR: United Kashmiri Sikh Progressive Forum (UKSPF) on Friday appealed to the politicians of Kashmir valley to raise voice for the reservation of Sikh community as various other communities get reserved seats, here at press club, Srinagar.

The chairman of this Forum Beldev Singh said, “We are always ignored, but Pandits got 2 seats, although LG assured us but they yesterday give two seats to Pandits and Sikhs get nothing, we are giving sacrifices for the nation, before 1947 we were reserved with 2 seats but today they ignored us and we get nothing after 1947.”

He said Non Migrant Sikhs should also get the same treatment like they give to the pandits. The politicians came to ask only for votes, he appealed all politicians of valley to raise voice against it.

He along with his colleagues appealed the Government to give the reservation to Sikhs as well.
