DODA: Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) on Friday has arrested 02 Notorious Drug Peddlers from Bhalla (Bhaderwah) in district Doda and recovered Charas like substance from their possession.
As per the Police, Police Party of Police Post (PP) Bhalla led by In-charge PP Bhalla was on checking / frisking duty near Model Naka Bhalla. During checking /frisking Police intercepted (02) travelers who were going towards Bhaderwah from Doda side on a Bike bearing registration No. JK06-A 5035.

On seeing Police at Naka they attempted to flee from the spot and police party on observing their suspicious movement acted swiftly, chased and apprehended them. On enquiry, they disclosed their name as Arif Qayoom son of Abdul Qayoom resident of Haveli Mohalla Bhaderwah and Muzamil Rafiq son of Mohd Rafiq resident of Sultan Pura Bhaderwah.
During their personal search, Charas like substance was recovered from their possession.
In this connection, case FIR No.60/2023 under relevant provision of NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Bhaderwah and investigation of the case set into motion.
Pertinent to mention here that Doda Police has launched special drive to eradicate the menace of drug and has appealed the general public to cooperate police and provide inputs if any drug peddling or any kind of drug addiction is noticed in their neighborhood so that action under is taken against such offenders/black traders.
