04 Drug Peddlers arrested in Budgam

BUDGAM: Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) on Wednesday have arrested 04 Drug Peddlers in Budgam and recovered contraband substance from their possession.

As per the Police, a Police party of Police Station (PS) Khansahib during naka checking at Raiyyar crossing intercepted 4 suspicious persons who tried to flee from the spot but were apprehended tactfully.

During search, 16.7 Kilograms of Charas like substance wrapped in four Nylon bags were recovered from their possession. They have been identified as Abdul Aziz Khan son of Ghulam Mohammad Khan, Javeed Ahmad Khan son of Late Ghulam Qadir Khan, both residents of Zoogu Khariyan, Bilal Ah Magray son of Abdul Gaffar Magray and Ishfaq Ah Shah son of Bashir Ahmad Shah, both residents of Brass. They have been arrested and shifted to PS where they remain in custody.

Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 55/2023 under relevant sections of law has been registered at PS Khansahib and investigation has been taken up.
