PULWAMA: Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) on Monday seized 04 Vehicles in Wuyan and Khrew areas of Awantipora in Pulwama district for illegal extraction and transportation of minerals.
As per the Police, a police party from Police Station (PS) Khrew headed by In-Charge SHO PS Khrew SI Ghulam Nabi seized four vehicles (Tippers) bearing registration numbers JK13C-8641, JK13B-1577, JK03B -5760 and JK0IM-1335 involved in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals.

Accordingly, a case under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Khrew.
The release said that the persons found indulging in illegal mining activities shall be dealt as per law. Community members are requested to share information regarding the crimes in their neighbourhood with their concerned police units.
