JAMMU: Dogra College of Education on Monday organized International Labour Day in which the students of Semester 1st and 4th participated.
The programme began with formal welcome address given by Sarika Kumari, Convener, Population Club, Dogra College of Education. She spoke that the day is to commemorate the hard-work and dedication of workers towards the prosperity, strength and development of the country.
On this occasion, the grocery items were distributed among the supporting staff of the College by the Population Club of the college. Dr Vikesh Kumar Sharma, Principal, DCoE also expressed his gratitude and appreciation towards the contribution of workers to our Society.

Speaking on occasion, Dr Darshana Sharma, Director, Dogra Group of Colleges and Campus Development told the audience that the motive of celebrating Labour Day is to recognize the huge efforts made by the working class and to make them aware about their rights. She appreciated the efforts of the teachers and the students of Dogra College of Education in organizing such social outreach activities.
Prominent among those present on the occasion were Dr Shefali Sharma, IQAC Coordinator, Dogra College of Education and all the faculty members. A formal vote of thanks was presented by Sarika Kumari.
