DODA: Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK) Doda in collaboration with Indian People Theater Association (IPTA) on Wednesday organised a street play on National Water Mission’s (NWM) campaign “Catch the Rain, where it fall, when it falls”.
The main motive of the programme is to aware the general public about Rain water Harvesting through” Nukkad Natak” programme held at old bus Stand Doda.
The play was written and directed by Sulinder Parihar Sarazi. The story of the street play rounds around how to catch the rain water for future generations with the title “Jal Haan toh Kaal Haan.”
In this street play, it was also shown that what will happen if there is no water, then the third war in the coming time will be about water and in the play the writer tried to explain to the people that saving water and rain water is very important.

While talking to the Media, the writer and the director of the Play, Sulinder Parihar Sarazi said that in today’s time, where global warming has become a big issue, due to which many ponds and rivers are drying up, we are going to have a lot of water problem due to which there will be shortage of water for the coming generations. But it was our effort that we were able to explain to the people how important water is.
He also thanked District Administration Doda, Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK) Doda, District Police Doda and Auto Drivers for their co-operation
“Let’s hope that our efforts reach the people and people save rain water which is very important. Government is bringing this project inside smart cities and is also doing it so that rain water can be taken underground and used at that time. When there is a shortage of water, we explained to the people that all the houses which are built today, should also be built in such a way that the rain water can be underground and can be used when there is a shortage of water,” he added.
The artists including Rishi Parihar, Kamlesh Rajput, Sanjeevan Singh, Raj Kumar and Sulinder Parihar Sarazi presented the play.
