DODA: Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) along with Civil Administration on Saturday has destroyed Poppy Cultivation in Thada Mohalla of Bhaderwah in district Doda.
As per the Police, it was told that on the receipt of a reliable information at Police Station (PS) Bhaderwah that Poppy (Opium plants) has been cultivated in Thada Mohalla Bhaderwah.

Acting upon this information, Police swung into action and a police party led by Inspector Jatinder Rakwal – SHO PS Bhaderwah along with Tehsildar Bhaderwah reached on the spot and destroyed poppy plants.

Doda Police has warned such cultivators to desist from these activities, else strict action under law will be taken which also includes attachment of moveable /immoveable property of persons if found involved in such practice.
