KISHTWAR: Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) in a major strike on OGWs on Tuesday booked 02 OGWs of Kishtwar district under PSA and lodged at District Jail Kathua.
As per the Police, these OGWs namely Mohd Rafi son of Mohd Munawar Bhat resident of Poochal – Kishtwar and Ghulam Qadir Ganoo son of Rustam Ganoo resident of Tander Dachhan – Kishtwar were previously booked in different FIRs.
Police said that in view of their continuous involvement in anti national activities and simultaneously motivating the youth of Kishtwar for joining banned organisations, it becames manidaitory to book them under PSA and save the youth of kishtwar from indulging from such anti national activities.

After obtaining PSA orders SSP Kishtwar, Khalil Poswal-JKPS constituted different teams led by Inspector Abid Bukhari, PSI Rahul Sharma and PSI Deepak Choudhary under the supervision of higher ups and arrested them from different location of Kishtwar and further lodged them in Kathua Jail.
While sharing the details, SSP Kishtwar, Khalil Poswal-JKPS conveyed that Police is working on multipronged strategy to deal with the problem of anti national elements on one hand awareness programs are being organized in every nook and corner of the district on the other hand, and now every anti national element/anti social element shall be booked under PSA.
